GRIFFITH UNIVERSITY AND UNIVERSITAS BALIKPAPAN MEETING
Pertemuan ini disambut baik oleh Rektor Universitas Balikpapan Dr. Piatur Pangaribuan dan Pembantu Rektor I Dr. Casmudi yang berlanjut dengan diskusi diantara peserta pertemuan yang dihadiri para dosen muda Universitas Balikpapan. Beberapa program akan di tindak lanjuti sebagai realisasi dari pertemuan ini, termasuk program rektor dalam meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Inggris di internal kampus melalui pusat belajar bahasa Inggris yang akan di kelola oleh fakultas sastra (bhs Inggris). ELC Education Balikpapan yang diwakili oleh Branch Coordinator Riska Andrilla sekaligus menyampaikan undangan “Pameran Pendidikan 3 Negara” yang akan dilaksanakan pada Kamis 27 Oktober 2016 di Jatra Hotel Balikpapan. Realisasi dari pertemuan ini Rektor Universitas BAlikpapan Dr. Piatur akan menindak lanjuti MoU dengan Griffith University dan selanjutnya mengundang 3 Universitas dari Amerika, Australia dan UK pada pertemuan dengan Rektor dan jajaran Akademisi bertemu di Kampus Universitas Balikpapan pada tanggal 26 Oktober 2016 untuk menjejaki kerjasama bidang pendidikan/Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi.

Today Thursday 15th October 2016, Universitas Balikpapan visited by Griffith University Quensland Australia. Griffith University host by their partners ELC Education in Balikppan together hold a meeting in Campus of Universitas Balikpapan. The meeting runs for around 2 hours wherein Mrs. Lucinda Chappell in charge as Director South Asia & The Pacific doing the presentation of the Griffith University profile, by offering a chance to study in several study programs such as Undergraduate, Post Graduate and Phd. The Rector of Univeritas Balikpapan Dr. Piatur Pangaribuan and Dr. Casmudi, 1st vice rector academic affairs, really welcome this meeting proceed with some discussion related to Education programs, scholarships and possibility to send some young lecturers to study abroad. Through the meeting the rector see that all lecturers will be encourage to improve their English proficiency by establishing English Language Center under supervision of Faculty of Letters English Department. On the same time ELC Education Balikpapan which was represented by Miss Riska Andrilla invited Universitas Balikpapan to attend an Education exhibition which will be conducted by three (3) countries, American, Australian and United Kingdom on Thursday, 27th October 2016 at Jatra Hotel Balikpapan. We promise to send our lecturers and students from all Faculties to attend this exhibition, but a day before on 26th October will have a meeting at Campus of Uniba with these three Universities representative together with ELC Education Balikpapan with the aims to seek the collaboration in Education programs and to see any possibility to proceed with the MoU signing.
